I'm a Multimedia Manager for the City of Greenville, SC.
I started working for the city in September of 2020, after making the decision to leave my nearly eight year career as a television news reporter.
My role with the City of Greenville, SC is unique, because I am still able to use my storytelling and videography skills, but in telling the stories of this amazing city. I also work with our local media partners to further share the stories of the city.
When I worked local news, I covered stories that gained national attention. My first week on the job at WLTX, we covered the shooting death of Walter Scott, an unarmed black man who was shot multiple times by a North Charleston officer. Just a few months later, the shooting at Mother Emanuel AME. After that came the great Confederate Flag debate and just when things started to cool down, the “1000 Year Flood” devastated homes throughout the state.
However, through all of that tragedy, I saw my new state grow in a positive way.
Throughout all of those events I found stories of people who love, care and want the best for families.
Over the years journalism has become a major part of who I am and I can’t wait to see where this journey takes me.
